CASES has contributed to the development of a new standard (ILNAS 107: 2020) which will receive the status of national standard upon publication in the Official Journal of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

This standard is dedicated to information security in analytical laboratories. It was developed within the framework of the accreditation of medical biology laboratories according to ILNAS-EN ISO 15189: 2012 and calibration and testing laboratories according to ILNAS-EN ISO / IEC 17025: 2017.

This is an indicative standard that takes into consideration the specific risks of laboratories, in particular related to the processing of data and the preservation of their integrity. It will also allow:

- to offer a more in-depth interpretation of the requirements formulated in the two standards ILNAS-EN ISO 15189: 2012 and ILNAS-EN ISO / IEC 17025: 2017;

- to propose recommendations for the implementation of adequate measures in terms of information security in laboratories, adapted to their needs;

- to focus on the risk-based approach adopted by laboratories in terms of information security;

- to provide more recommendations to the auditors of the Luxembourg Accreditation and Surveillance Office (OLAS) to audit aspects related to information security as part of an accreditation audit.
